Default PvP/PvE server suggestions!

PvP – should have Honorguards/Civilian tag, and a squad claim and squad claim dispute system. Not to mention the bounty system. Basically what it was like before the military patch was added to the classical jumpate. A sandbox type of gameplay that player can do whatever they want to do. The only AIs that should exists are some haulers that do the low level jobs that players don’t wanna do at a slow pace, conflux, and security/rogue drone ships. Players can help participate to make the pace faster! There should be either kill stats that keeps track on on almost every player except for low levels, and AI trading ships. Bigger rewards for taking a more of a dangerous mission or killing the higher level flux? You bet!

So I call it, "The Default server" for the PvP server, which should designed to be what the classical Jumpgate was like before the tag system got revamped so the old Jumpgate players can come and play this. Yes a sandbox type of gameplay!

PvE – should have in-space safe zones, along with military tag, and a pirate tag system. kill stats don’t count unless if it’s a military vs military only kill. there will still be consensual only pvp and some duel arenas system. there should also be all sorts of AIs on this server ranging from traders, security, to pirate AIs in neutral space. And how about the equipment that can be used to kill flux faster? Oh I also forgot some interaction with AIs in space.

So I call it, "Mostly Friendly Galaxy" for those who want to be left alone most of the time. It’s a much softer server.

I vote for the PvP system that JGC used prior to the tag system. No HG, no Civ, just factional space, and unregulated space. Actions in regulated space carry penalties like PR hits, bounties, and possibly even automated defenses. Actions in unregulated space only possibly activate automated defenses depending on how they’re configured. Other than that.. defend yourself at all times and engage at will.

Why would you not want to have honor guard tags on the PvP server? It was the perfect thing to have if you wanted to show off faction pride whatever it would be patrolling, invading another faction space, or defending faction space. HG tags should be needed if you want to do things that civs can’t do.

I miss blockading Great Pillars…pity we could not do that in Retail.

Remember that far as JGE is concerned, if your on the PvP-only server…. it’s kinda assumed your there to PvP or at least want the interaction aspect that comes from such. They’d still be a core bounty system in place for hostile actions in factional space. (And hopefully the squad warfare system being worked on, will still allow squads to settle disputes openly). Remember that whilst your squad may be acting for what they see as "The best interests of our faction", they are nothing more like a minor smaller version of a sub-faction… so kind of a sub-faction of a sub-faction

I’d love for the PvP version of JGE to include a ‘Tag-less’ system, then factional pilots simply do so via squad system.
Solves 2 problems in one swoop, that of "How to approach the PvP system on the PvP shards" as well as "What shall we do about non-faction support?".

tags on a pvp server is like having a menu at a soup kitchen. Your there, eat soup.

Only exception depending on how the bounty system works is pirating.

Introduce 1 special tag or ID so that then hostile actions are more ‘allowed’ both ways. Whilst avoiding forcing the pirate over a barrell and erasing his innocence over one action, instead he just opens himself up to ‘truely open no holding back’ action.

OK I have a suggestion.

ND have another game as well you know. It’s called JGC. How about this, they put the new graphics engine onto it. They put JGE’s new economy onto it. POS are made squad only. The old MT tag thing is backed out completely, either back to HG/Civ tags or nothing at all. Bounties are made more reasonable. Damn it, even make the "first fifteen minute" experience the same. But in this game it’s just for noobs.

Sound doable? Get JGE and any major issues out of the way then concentrate a few devs on JGC.I’m sure of the artist you have now could wonders with the phoon/nix/tensy. ND then get 2 brand new games mainly using code for the second one that already exists.

Hell, I (and I suspect a lot of others) would probably pay for both!

Just imagine, getting home from work and your biggest decision is what ND game to play?

Or am I living in a dream world?

hmm heard mention that JGC Might get some much needed love and attention after JGE hits, but that was simply 2nd hand information so could just of been speculative trash.

Herm said he wanted to leave classic up and give it love after Evo releases…

But we all know that is a pipe dream, a waste of resources, and just down right dumb. As soon as Evo launches classic needs to be shut down.
